Omkring den mastodontiske B&W dieselmotor fra 1932 kan publikum til lyden og lugten af arbejdende gamle motorer følge dieselteknologiens udvikling fra slutningen af 1800-tallet til nutiden, samt få et blik ind i fremtiden. Den teknologiske udvikling kobles sammen med historien om Københavns energiforsyning, om B&W skibsværft og motorfabriks udvikling over 150 år, om varetransport over havene og diesel-teknologiens brug i hele verden.

I DieselHouse fortælles i autentiske omgivelser historien om dieselmotoren, som er en af industrisamfundets centrale teknologier. Udstillingerne suppleres af forskellige typer audiovisuel formidling, der gør dem levende, og giver publikum mulighed for at fordybe sig alt efter interesse.

Around the giant B&W diesel engine from 1932, visitors can listen to and smell old, working engines and follow the development of diesel technology from the end of the 19th century to today, and can also catch a glimpse of the future.
