Louisiana er både en dynamisk ramme omkring en fornem samling og store udstillinger af internationalt format, men også et levende kulturhus med koncerter, foredrag, kulturdebat, litteratur, musik mm. Et yndet og elsket udflugtsmål, året rundt. Hvert år byder vi på flere store internationale kunstudstillinger og museet har også tradition for at præsentere foto-, design-, og arkitekturudstillinger.

LOUISIANA Museum of Modern Art is located 35 km north of Copenhagen with a panoramic view across the Sound. The interaction between world-class art, nature, and architecture is unique.

The Louisiana permanent collection includes significant chapters in 20th-century art. The art of Alberto Giacometti is one of the museum’s distinct fields of force as is the art of Alexander Calder whose sculptures have almost become a symbol of Louisiana. Louisiana is also a dynamic framework for concerts, lectures, conferences and encounters with artists. And it is a house of many passions, including design, architecture, and photography.
